Not sure if this is where I would submit feedback or if there is another section or e-mail address I could send it to.

The program feels very light weight which is nice. It does not appear to take up a lot of resources (I could be wrong).

I just started using this today, but the first thing I noticed is the user interface is not organized or user friendly. All the tools to edit things are out of view, which is fine, but then when I start adding them in the windows just floating around. Editing the text feels complicated. Even things like changing up the text styles seem buried in the window. The user interface feels like it needs an update to streamline and organize tools better.

Welcome to Scribus!

You probably have downloaded Scribus 1.6.6, which is indeed the current stable release but is also ancient.
(It's not ancient because it has been released long ago, but because it's the result of a development process that has been done 10 years ago!)

If you want to use a modern Scribus, you can download the development version 1.7.x.
A lot has been improved in the functionalities but also in the UI.
And while there is still a lot to be done, the new Scribus is much nicer to use.

A few more things:

You can install both versions in parallel on your computer.
At first, do not do production work with the development version.
You can save in the 1.6 format from Scribus 1.7 (still, at first, only work on backups with 1.7!)
We're interested in the feedback on 1.7, not on 1.6.

And if the above is all wrong, and you already checked the current development version, please, please, give us more details!
