Menu icons too small — Almost impossible to work / get to know the ui

Hi dear scribus Community,

I'm a design student and my school Will cut my Adobe licence during the Summer. Anyway, I saw this as a sign to try out Scribus. But it's really hard for me to use due the menu size icons. I have a 14" MacBook Pro and (more likely ?) this is due to the amout of pixel in my screen.

But the icons are so small and the contrast ratio of their color is not making it easier. I can't even ses what they are refering to. Please if you have any pro tips I'll love to hear from you. Here is screenshot from my screen, to ses the correct size for the icons my screen is 3024 × 1964 pixels

Expanding on MrB's reply:

You're welcome to test a recent development version of Scribus.

It's much (much!) better than the 1.6 you're looking at!

It's a development "release", so you should carefully check that all the features you need are working as expected, but -- most of the time and especially right now -- it should be rather solid.

Sadly, you seem to be on Mac and there is no recent build for Mac.
Good snapshots for Windows (snapshots in the official Sourceforge) and Linux (Appimages in the community managed Gitlab CI) are available.
