Scripts and Plugins / Re: Content Properties not tra...
Last post by abi - January 07, 2025, 09:28:01 AM
To give a quick update on this ticket - what we have noticed is that scribus does not allow running multiple scripts simultanously

1st script - the plugin that we have created
2nd script - is loading Content Properties

If we dont close the Plugin, Content Properties stays locked. But closing the Plugin and loading it again from scripts is not a very user friendly solution. If anyone can suggest a work around for

1. How can we close the script by minimising or something like that
OR
2. A quicker way to load the Plugin using some keyboard shortcut or adding it in the menu toolbar icon

Thanks

I tested the export solution and that worked ... I have marked my question solved.
Thank you for the help.
Now I will be posting a question about export options.

Does the font used have the characters? Scribus can only use what is available in the font.

Hi,
I tried to insert a text with some Chinese characters, pinyin and other kind of characters, and the Chinese characters doesn't appear (instead, it's shown black frames).
It's possible to fix that?
Thanks

as in https://forums.scribus.net/index.php/topic,5785.0.html

# In a multi-page Scribus document:
# 1 Select the textbox containing one or more columns.
# 2 Enter the number of the last page where you want to sequentially copy this textbox.
# 3 Choose "Yes" if you want the text to flow continuously from the first textbox to the last.
# 4 Choose "Yes" if you want to maintain the textbox positions as they would be in a facing-page document.

you can of course write a small python script that produces one or multiple pdfs with a specific range in them...

as inspiration, this is a somehow complex script that uses pdfjam to create different types of booklets:

Thank you all 3 for your replies.
I am a programmer, so had contemplated writing
a post pdf python apt to fill my requirement.
I thought something might already exist.
We will consider moving to Scribus with
some more testing.
