How do I fill a text box (margin to margin) when importing Rich Text?

I've been using Scribus for a few projects now, but I've always imported plain text from a word processor and then formatted it in Scribus. But, for this current project, the client wants me to use a custom separator between the sections of his text. The most efficient way that I've found to do that was to create a custom dingbats font for this project, and use it to insert the graphic as text.

However, when I import the Rich Text (or .odt, or .docx) from Scrivener into Scribus, it comes in...narrow. The right half-inch (about) of the text box is blank, as if it's responding to some hidden margin setting (which I haven't been able to find) in the text file. Now, I can correct that by "select all", and then changing the style...but then I lose the customized formatting for my separators, as well as the special formatting for the title and section setting.

I really don't want to have to hand-edit the entire manuscript. Can someone suggest a way to have the import fill the entire text box?

Something quick to try. Go into scribus menu View/Text Frames/Show Control Characters
select that entry and see where the end of the lines are in the text. I think Scrivener may have exported the rtf with shortened lines. Limiting to a certain number of characters per line.

Something to check before we delve into this further.
