[SOLVED] How to set the default image 'Actual X-DPI' & 'Actual Y-DPI' value to 300 DPI?

Hi

If I create an image frame and execute Ctrl-I ("Get image...") the image properties  'Actual X-DPI' and 'Actual Y-DPI' are set to 72dpi. I prefer the default value to be 300dpi.

I was looking for a property in menu 'File' / 'Preferences' to set this value to a default of 300 dpi generally for image imports but did not find a place for this.

I checked wiki page
https://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Working_with_image_frames
but did not find this mentioned.

For an example image in the MSWindows properties dialog box the image is given as '777x600' pixel but with horizontal and vertical resolution of 96 dots per inch.
In the Scribus image preview the same image is given as 72 dpi.

Another image which is 5184x3888 pixel with 300dpi in the MSWindows image properties box is also indicated as 72 dpi in the Scribus open dialog.
I wonder what is happening here.

Thank you for the answer in advance.

You probably need set the image resolution in the image editor.

Scribus will respect that.
Or at least it should be able to do that.
(It is in a quick test I just did.)

No idea, if the Windows properties box does show that information reliably.

Thank you, Ale for the test and answer.

I used Krita 5.2.9 menu 'Image -> scale to new size', clicked in the dialog box 'Adjust print size separately' and changed the resolution to 300 dpi. No changes to pixel dimensions.

Now when I import the picture into Scribus the preview shows indeed 300dpi and after the import this is maintained! So I learned that Scribus respects the information from the image file and there is no need for a default setting for the import.
