I've been a Scribus user for some years now, but it still makes me feel like a Beginner. I produce a 30 page newsletter. When all the inputs are in, I like to rearrange the pages to get the flow of articles that I like.
I thought the Arrange Pages tool would be just the trick to be able to see the big picture and drag and drop to rearrange the order. Unfortunately, there are a couple of issues. First, the icons for the individual pages are generic, what I would like is little thumbnails (something representative of the page). The only identifying info is the page number, which, of course, changes after I move a page.
Secondly, the page icons are in one, single, long column even though they occupy a big square window of empty space where they could be spread out.
Arranging pages with this tool is a very limited function as I understand it.
As it is, I print out a draft, lay the pages on the floor, rearrange them to my satisfaction, stack them up in order, manually write the pages numbers on each page, then use Move Page to get them in the order I want.
Is there something I am missing or am I just using Arrange Pages for the wrong purpose? Seems like a computer could help me with this task.
Thanks in advance for the advice and patience,
Don
