Alphabetical index for book

I currently looking how to make alphabetical index to a book in scribus? Do you have tutorial for that please ? honestly this is a pain , or scribus do not have option like that?  Thank You,

As far as I know, a couple of months ago, Craig has worked on the index generation.
But I guess that the code is only in the development version.

Sadly, I've not been able to test it yet.
So I can't say what it can do (if it can do anything at all: some of the commits say that only the UI has been committed).
 
Personally, I have worked on a Python script for creating an index, but could not get to the point that it produces some useful results.
The main issues were related with defining which words are to be included and how to properly detect them.

I think that I already asked in the past: I'm happy to get help on finding out how people would like an Index to work in Scribus.
If you have ideas please write them down and I might try to integrate them in my script.
