variable text on master pages

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to put variable text on master pages.  For example, I want the chapter title to appear at the top of left-facing pages.  You can do this in Framemaker by using variables.  Is there any way to do this is Scribus?

I think it's possible but imho it would just be easier to make a new master page for each chapter.
