My thoughts too utnik.

abi: did you use a copy of a previous image frame for this image? Specifically one that you added effects to?

hi abi

i placed your images on test files in scribus 1.6.2, 1.6.3.svn and 1.7.0.svn. all of them looked normal. i wasn't able to simulate your strange color effect (unless i experiment with 'extras' → 'manage images' → 'image tools' → 'image effects' → 'quadtone' or something like that...)

hi abi

this looks really strange. i have never seen something like that. when i place cmyk images (usually .kra or .tiff, but just tested with .jpg as well), they look correct on screen and export correct.
what file format is it in your case?

if this happens with different images, you should file a bug report with an affected .sla file and the used image.

forget about printing direct from the .sla file! but your .pdf file shows the correct size. when this doesn't print do it's size, it's not scribus' fault. in this case, there's no scribus related print engine involved.

Scripts and Plugins / The CMYK image shows all wrong...

When importing an CMYK image into Scribus

Attached screenshot of actual image on left when viewed in any Image Viewer.

When we import this into Scribus - its shown on right in attachment where all the colors are messed up.

If someone can please help with which color management profile should be set. Attached another screenshot with the current Color Management setting.

Thank you

hard to tell – as long as we don't see what scribus does wrong.
your presented file looks almost correct. but there's still am offset of 1/32" from the folding line to the middle of the page. if it's just that what you 'tweak' by libreoffice, you should work with a central guide to resolve it.

how would you describe a bug?
what feature would you like to have?

I'm afraid I'm not enough of a techie to really suggest what to do, although perhaps they might consider adapting another open-source print engine. If I take the PDF created by Scribus and try to print it with a PDF viewer, or to print directly from Scribus, the output comes out about 70%. But if I put that same PDF into LibreOffice Draw and print it from there, even without editing, it comes out the correct full size. My current workaround.

Quote from: AdmFubar on December 04, 2024, 07:13:26 AMWas having fun this evening re-imagining your layout. Use them if you like.

I used a couple of your ideas. May incorporate others next week. Here's this week's final PDF. Unfortunately, I once again had to transfer the Scribus layout to LibreOffice Draw and "tweak" it to get it to output properly. I tried about fifteen different combinations of printer settings before throwing in the towel in Scribus.

Should this count as a "bug" worthy of reporting, or at least an official feature request?
