the third possible approach is to create a script that generates the lists and then let the developer manually fix the list when files change (i guess that then cmake will trigger an error and, most of the time, only very few files are changing at once).
what do you think? would it for you be an option to use such a script if i provide the patches?

please, can you tell me what is your OS theme? And can you check how it looks like with the standard adwaita theme?
The base icon color is always the same as the UI text color. The automatic dark/light theme detection is only used to load different color definitions from icon theme, like a dark red instead of a light red and vice versa.

I just want to give an update about the current implementation / changes of the properties panel.
Right now, I updated 3 sections (XYZ, Shape and Line). I also added a function to toggle the visibility of the smaller labels. In that way, it is possible to have a beginner-friendly mode with more explanation or a professional mode with more space-saving UI, also a nice thing for small screens.
Have in mind it is work in progress, and I'm happy to get your feedback.
No, it cannot .. cmake docs even recommend to not use GLOB to collect the source file list.. but the alternative is to type in all the file names.. less interesting compare to a rare event where we change the name of a file

Appreciate the kind words - I checked and also don't see any color management occurring in the document - though I do still see the Scribus image having a more pink tone than the left image - working on trying to use a color picker to try to identify just how big of a shift it is, and while I'm likely to substitute that picture for a different one regardless, it's definitely something I'd like to watch out for in case it happens with another picture in the doc. It hasn't happened to any other pictures, though this is the first picture I've taken in RAW and exported to Jpeg. Could that be affecting things for some reason? Even if the Jpeg itself looks as expected
