Some letters are bold in a word

I am using the 'Open sans' font , and all fonts are vectorized for pdf creation.(Scribus 1.6.5 , Windows 11)
In the pdf, the letter 'l' is (most of the time, but not always) printed bold in normally printed words.
Sometimes, the letter 'i' as well.
I have tried several quality and compression , but no change.
Any suggestion please ?

change to another font, and see if the issue persists.

ok, I would like to, but the document has 140 pages with 4 or 5 text block per page.
Is there a way to change the font for all text blocks ?

AdmFubar

I take it you didnt use styles?..
well at least select a section text that will cause that issue and change to a different font, and see if it shows up for that section of text

You are right, I didn't use styles, it's my first project with Scribus,4 weeks ago I knew nothing about it.
But I am almost finished, and the printer agreed to a few pages sample !
I tried with another font on one page, and it's ok, no bold letters.
sla files are plain text, I could try a replace all with a text editor ?

Latest news :
I tried with yet another font (Verdana 10pt) , and the same letters as with 'Open sans'  are bold in the pdf

You say it is "printed", do you mean you have tried printing on paper?

If you are just viewing a PDF on screen, it may just be bad "font hinting".

Is it bold even if you print on paper or zoom in?
