Hi,

here is a (Scribus) beginner question:
Is is possible to select several objects (e.g. text boxes) and move the around together?

Any help is much appreciated

I think in most programs you can select multiple objects in several ways, holding Ctrl and clicking one at a time to or remove from the selection is a common way (and as far as I remember it works in Scribus too).

You can also draw a selection box to select multiple objects.

Once you have them selected you can also group them to move them as a single object. And there is some trick to edit an object in a group without ungrouping, but I have forgotten what it is...

Someone who uses Scribus on a more regular basis than I do can probably provide better information though :)

You can edit an individual object in a group by selecting it in the Outline panel/window.

But isn't there some kind of keyboard shortcut too? Holding Alt while clicking it I think?

the problem is actually selecting it.. if the object you want is under another object the upper object gets selected.

In Scribus it's the SHIFT button for multi-select (I found out)
