Problem with image insertion and yellow triangle in Scribus 1.6.2

Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue with image insertion in Scribus version 1.6.2. Every time I insert an image (PNG format), a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark appears instead of the image. Additionally, I am unable to resize the image frames.

Here's what I have already tried without success:

I checked that my image files are correctly located and linked.
I used the "Relink image" option and tried to reload the images manually.
I checked the display preferences, but I couldn't find any specific settings related to image display in my version.
The issue persists with all images, not just some, and it affects PNG format images specifically (I haven't tested other formats yet).
Do you have any suggestions on how to solve this issue or what might be causing this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

i'm going  to start with "corrupted config" file
dont know off hand what os you are using, but navigate to where the scribus config is located and rename the file. i usually just append "old" to the filename. do this without scribus running and then restart scribus. you man need to redo any paths you may have set before. then reload your document and see if the issue is resolved.

see this section for the location of the config file. (admins... needs updating for windows)
