I cannot export to PDF

Hi all,
I used Scribus a couple of months ago without trouble.

I had to make a few modifications on a former Scribus file and I noticed I cannot export any .sla files to PDF AT ALL (even the most basic type of document). I just get an error message saying Scribus cannot write the file.

I installed and uninstalled Scribus several times to no avail.

If anyone had an idea, I would be very grateful

where are you trying to export to?

is the volume full?

have you write rights to it?

is there any non ascii or space in the path leading to it?

... just trying to guess...

I am trying to save my .sla into pdf,
the volume is not full, it s an original .sla I made myself  ...

and still the same answer "cannot write this file"

thank you for trying to help!

I have seen this issue before and if I recall correct it is a matter of "path problems".

Try saving the PDF to another location on the disk.

That was it! I saved it straight on my C:\ disk ... and it finally worked!
Lost hours on a small glitch  :( I would have never guessed without your help

A HUGE thank you  ;)

saving to C:\ is not a good idea, but it's ok if this solves your current problem.

you should have a look at your problem (and ask for help in your neighborhood) to really solve it.

the problem could be a special character somewhere along the path to the designated file location (maybe in the log-in name).

I suppose so ...
I also had the same when I tried to circumvent the PDF export and save my project as an image, got a message error.
