[RESOLVED] Building scribus 1.4.5 on Ubuntu 14.04.3 - missing LCMS_INCLUDE_DIR

I'm trying to build 1.4.5 on a freshly installed Ubuntu Studio 14.04.3.
I've installed all the necessary libraries via apt, but cmake still gives the following error:

CMake Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they are set to NOTFOUND.
Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake files:
LCMS_INCLUDE_DIR

I've installed every possible lcms package I can find package to no avail; none of them fix the problem, even though a call to  "whereis lcms" finds both /usr/include/lcms.h and /usr/include/lcms2.h.
I saw an earlier thread on this forum that said I had to uninstall liblcms1-dev because it supposedly conflicts with liblcms2-dev; this did not fix the problem either.
What could I be missing?
Thanks!

Well, wouldn't you know it, as soon as I posted this the answer occurred to me.
Instead of just invoking "cmake ." all I had to do was
cmake . -DLCMS_INCLUDE_DIR=/usr/include
Since I'd already found where the lcms header files were located.
Hopefully this will be helpful to someone else out there.
