A bit of code here
« on: June 15, 2012, 08:57:57 am »
Hi !

I merged two bits of code enabling users to fit the text frame.
It is loosely inspired from

http://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Adjust_a_text_frame_to_fit_its_content

I corrected one or two things to make it work.

But I need some help concerning the execution of this script when leaving the text frame, so that the correction becomes automatic.

One more time, for a professionnal use, it is compulsory to have the right frame size because aligning and distributing could become a pain.

Someone's help ?

PLEASE rename de test.pdf in test.py before testing

hi hibou,

you have to manually run it each time you want to adjust the frame, for now...

but the idea of getting scribus to automatic trigger scripts when specific actions happen (like entering or leaving a text frame) is neat!
it's worth to be developed...
