entering text

I can insert a text frame but I can't type or import any text into it. I can only resize or move it.
If I click in it all I get is the Micky Mouse glove.
Help!

Double-click on it.

I don't think it is obvious or intuitive.

There are only two things that are completely obvious and intuitive. The first is the nipple.  :P
