Can't layout 10-up business cards
« on: June 07, 2016, 03:05:59 am »
I've tried to do a 10-up business card step & repeat layout using a PDF from Gimp but the page won't export properly. The first image is the correct size, 3.5 inches by 2 inches, but the remaining 9 images are each reduced to 25% of their normal size. On screen, they look fine. It's when I export the page to PDF that 9 of the 10 images get reduced.

Any ideas welcome.

Welcome,

Could you post the files to look at?  Also which version of scribus and operating system are you using? Have you tried using a .tif file from gimp instead of a .pdf to verify the problem? I tried to reproduce the problem and could not from the specifications you have listed.

My mistake. The original wasn't done in Gimp, it was in Inkscape, which can't output tif.

I played around with it some more. PDFs can be troublesome when printing. The answer was to output a PS file from Inkscape and use that. ;D
