i also got a blurred pattern... but i was thinking it would have been sharp in the pdf...

if it's not sharp there, i guess it should be a topic for a further ticket...

and for the pattern having a few exceptions: just put a whit rectangle and the pedestrian / bicycle right there :-)

anyway, i hope that it's possible to create a lighter pdf by using symbols... not sure it's possible, but if it is, scribus should do it!

I'm not sure if this is the same issue or not (got a bit lost following the replies)
When I create a 6 * 9 document in scribus and I export it as a pdf the pdf size is 6.24 * 9.24 and I can't work out why. I thought at first it was the bleeds but I don't think so. What am I missing?

It's ok, I kept googling and finally found the answer. Need to remove all bleeds and then check 'use document bleeds' when exporting. Worked a treat!
