Fair warning i'm very new to scribus and not very good with computers. I recently got some zine templates of Itch . io and im wondering how I get them to show up as options on the 'New From Template' menu. right now ive extracted all the files from Zip...Form? and have put them into a folder called ZINE TEMPLATES, but when i try to set the path to the folder i have them in it doesn't show any of the templates in the menu options of 'new from Template '.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Scribus templates are Scribus documents that are saved as templates.
You cannot take random files downloaded from the internet and use them as your templates.
Anyway, you probably do not need to add them as templates.
If the files can be opened with Scribus, you can do that and use them as a base for your document.
Then you will use copies of you older Scribus documents as the base of your future documents.
As far as I know, this is how most people work.
Adding new templates is something experts do. Or your IT department, to make sure that your corporate work follows the rules.
