Anyone here try it? I've used 3-4 dtp programs over the years and i've found this one extremely frustrating to use just trying out some simple layout testing.

i used it in the nineties. it was called 'vivaPress' and brought some new possibilities quarkXPress and pageMaker didn't offer. but i never looked at it in the last 25 years. (compared with inDesign it was slow on the same hardware...)
what is the frustrating part of the actual versions?

it is molasses in january slow.. i thought it might be a bad appimage implementation. interface is oddly limited.
I have used it to convert inDesign files to formats that I could copy type and photos to Scribus to recreate documents or print the pdf if there were no changes from the customer.
