Title: How to use and delete Colours Sets?
Post by: goldenbrown on June 17, 2026, 07:42:10 PM
Hey everyone!

I've been trying to create some custom colours sets in Scribus, but I'm having some problems, and I would really appreciate some help:

In the 'Colours and Fills' menu I'm using the option 'Save Colour Set' to try and save a custom palette I've made. However, when I select the newly create custom colour set on the list of colour sets, the colours won't load. What am I doing wrong?  :(

Another problem is that by trying to make the custom colour set work I ended up create a few custom colours sets :B (ops) and now I have no idea how to delete them. (I guess I have to find a folder where Scribus save this stuff, but I'm new to MacOS and have no idea where it could be... help?)

I'm using Scribus 1.7.3 on MacOS.

hi goldenbrown

you'll find the custom color palettes in your user folder under 'library' → 'application support' → 'scribus' → 'palettes'.
...and there seems to be a problem with color sets generated in scribus 1.7.3. if you create them in 1.6, you can use them in 1.7.3 as well. but palettes from 1.7.3 won't work.
could you file a bug report here (https://bugs.scribus.net)?
