Title: Can we suppress the "Progressive encoding" verifier message?
Post by: henrylaw on May 20, 2026, 09:40:27 AM
My pre-flight verifier has dozens of messages with the text "Image has progressive encoding". I know what progressive encoding is, so:

1. Why is it a bad thing in Scribus? Ignoring them doesn't seem to have any bad effect on the PDF or the printed document.

2. Since I routinely ignore those messages, can I suppress them?

hi henrylaw

you'll find those settings under 'preferences' → 'preflight verifier'. here you can define a profile for every .pdf version.
