Title: How to add emojis to your layouts.
Post by: IanicM on May 01, 2026, 06:19:04 PM
I was looking for a solution for myself and managed to get emojis to appear in my text field for a project I'm working on, so I thought I'd share how to do it with you all.

Step 1. Get emoji fonts from Google Fonts. Either Noto Color Emoji, or Noto Emoji.

Step 2. Add those font files to your Windows/Font folder.

Step 3. Start Scribus, load or create a new project.

Step 4. Draw a Text Frame and set the font to your Emoji font.

Step 5. Open the story editor.

Step 6. Visit this website and click on any emoji you want to use. https :// getemoji . com/

Step 7. Paste the emoji in the Story Editor. The emoji will appear.

That's it. You're done.

Hope this is useful to someone else.
