Title: Screenshot on the home page
Post by: cedricr on April 14, 2026, 05:07:35 PM
Hello!

I came to see the homepage earlier today, after reading the announcement about the new version in a post on Mastodon by David Revoy, a webcomic creator working with Krita and Scribus.

I've tried Scribus a few years ago, and was curious to see how it had evolved since, but I was unable to find a screenshot of the app, at least in the first few pages I tried.

A few hours later someone asked David if he had a screenshot of him working in Scribus, and David shared those, under a CC-BY licence

I commented that it would be great to have them on https :// scribus . us, and David okay'ed the idea

What do you think ?

In that Mastodon thread, David also mentions his Git repo where he published Scribus sources for his Comic books (also CC-BY). If you have 20 GiB of spare harddisk space, that will probably make a good showcase IMO.

Hi Cedric and Sven-Ola

scribus dot us is not in the hands of the Scribus team and, anyway, it's just putting scribus dot net (ther  real thing) in a full page frame).

But yes, we need better samples / screenshots on the webpage.
