Title: Not showing my directories
Post by: graybeard76 on April 08, 2026, 12:50:00 AM
I am a brand new user, trying to switch from Microsoft Publisher before it goes away.
When I go to try and open a file, or save the document I am working on, the dialog box is not showing me all my directories.
For example, I navigate to my Documents folder, and the only folder it shows is "Outlook Files".  But I have dozens of other directories in my documents folder.  Why is it not showing them?

I finally figured it out.  It was OneDrive messing me up.  I almost immediately regretted trying it out when I did last year. Now I think I am stuck with it.
Anyway, with the version I have of Scribus, version 1.6.5 (Windows 10), is does not have a window that allows you to paste a path into for opening or saving files.  It only shows "My computer" and my main users directory on the left.  I was going straight to \documents, when I had to go to \OneDrive\documents to find my files.

You might want to consider saving your working files locally. There are usually issues when dealing with remote files and the of services line one drive. It will save you headaches later.
