When I export to PDF, the solid borders on my letters turn into dotted lines!
How can I prevent this?

It appears that outlining fonts is broken. A temporary solution is to convert that text to outline Select the text, in the dropdown menu, select Item/Convert to/Outline.
Will produce the desired result when output as a PDF. This will at enable you to finish the project.
Hopefully the outline text option will be fixed shortly.

That works but it shouldnt as that line style should only be applied to the text frame as that is the property you are editing, and not the stroke of the text. Text stroke is getting the stroke style from the place. Developers take note! ;)
