I am trying to migrate a file from InDesign to Scribus. I imported my file, but in some cells in a table the text wraps prematurely - less than 25% of the width of the cell.
So, I started with a fresh file, inserted my table, added a number of other elements, and it all seemed to be working correctly. When I came back to it today, the table has the same issue again. I don't see any settings about columns or padding that would be the culprit.
I've attached the file if anyone is able to take a look. It was created in 1.7.1svn, but the same issue was present in the stable version, which I started with. You'll see the issue when you start typing in the cells to the right of Wednesday and Saturday in the calendar on the first page. Thanks in advance!
I think you need to to reupload this file. I got 6 pages, the first of which has some guides on it.
Thanks, I'm not sure how that happened. I trimmed it down to just the first page and saved it as a 1.5.x-1.6.x document this time: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1j25uU3C0qdSe8kCuMq2sr-mdK7sEBYzC&usp=drive_fs
In the process of doing so, I discovered deleting the a text frame on the left side of the page corrects the layout of the text in the table on the right. I don't have any idea why those elements should affect each other, though.
I saw no difference in the text after deleting the text frame on the left. What was odd it the sla took a rather long time to open.
Huh, here's a screen recording of what I'm seeing: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1k8gwyq_b30CaU_b6SaIL1VF7ocJrkyIF/view?usp=sharing
in scribus, tables are not really "ready for production".
but for what i see, you should be able to create your layout with a few frames and rectangles behind it...
