Title: supress "page001" suffix when exporting to image
Post by: jagostinhoCT on November 05, 2021, 10:27:37 AM
hello

is there a way to suppress the "page001" suffix when exporting to an image?
I would like the image to always be named exactly like the source scribus file.

thank you
J

Hi, I've been looking for an answer to the very same question for years !
Apparently, nobody seems to know how to do that, and it doesn't seem to bother anybody either.

Maybe should it be reported to developpers so an option would be released in order to be able to change this.
An option which could even allow to name this suffix differently if needed.

Thanks for reading this.

Gererally I agree with the OP as it is different when exporting to PDF (except when using single pages).

I suspect that since an image can only contain one page, and a Scribus document can contain many pages, it is not really logical to name the image just the same as the Scribus document. If you export several pages, they would all be named the same and overwrite each other.

A PDF can contain many pages, and thus a PDF can contain all pages from the Scribus document, and then it makes sense to name it the same as the Scribus document.
