Title: User Interface Layout
Post by: mikolaskova on February 15, 2017, 10:58:20 AM
Hello,

is it possible to fix windowns like properties, layers etc. in the left or right window area?
(like f.e. in GIMP where I can choose between free floating windows and fixed one-window-mode)

Thanks and regards,

Adriana

hoi adriana

in 1.5 you can already dock (fix) the properties palettes to the side.

for the other "windows" (which are mostly about managing the "resources") i have mixed feelings.
personally, i would prefer to focus on making it much easier to create and modify resources. just when you need them. and -- this way -- avoid the users being bothered by all those windows being open everywhere...

this is one of the things i'd like to discuss with martin, the designer who is creating a proposal for the new scirbus UI : - )
if you feel like please join the discussion in this thread: http://forums.scribus.net/index.php/topic,1617.msg10742/topicseen.html#msg10742
