Title: Retrieving autosave
Post by: Karela on May 28, 2014, 05:39:49 PM
One of the main problems that I have with Scribus is that is crashes fairly regularly, and I don't always back-up as much as I should (who ever does). Because of that, I have my auto-save set to fairly frequently, but it doesn't seem to help me. When Scribus crashes I re-open my document and can see an auto-saved version or two (usually two, but one is 0 bytes) but I can't open them!

hi karela

you have to delete the appendix .autosave to use this file. with .sla it should open.
...and you schould check your scribus installation. i use scribus on different machines under macOS, ubuntu and windows – and it almost never crashes...
