hi richard

looks fine here.
i converted the image to .png (as this is what you placed...) and exported your .sla file without changing the .pdf settings. there is no white line at the bottom or at any other side. (mac os, scribus 1.6.2, acrobat and foxit reader)
i checked 'print preview' as well and couldn't find your issue.

i'm going  to start with "corrupted config" file
dont know off hand what os you are using, but navigate to where the scribus config is located and rename the file. i usually just append "old" to the filename. do this without scribus running and then restart scribus. you man need to redo any paths you may have set before. then reload your document and see if the issue is resolved.

see this section for the location of the config file. (admins... needs updating for windows)

Beginner Talk / Problem with image insertion ...
Last post by LAETITIAL - October 08, 2024, 12:20:00 AM
Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue with image insertion in Scribus version 1.6.2. Every time I insert an image (PNG format), a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark appears instead of the image. Additionally, I am unable to resize the image frames.

Here's what I have already tried without success:

I checked that my image files are correctly located and linked.
I used the "Relink image" option and tried to reload the images manually.
I checked the display preferences, but I couldn't find any specific settings related to image display in my version.
The issue persists with all images, not just some, and it affects PNG format images specifically (I haven't tested other formats yet).
Do you have any suggestions on how to solve this issue or what might be causing this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

I don't think it's that as I increased the size of the image and that didn't help.

hi richard

an image that doesn't really fill the frame is one possible reason. but without the images i can't check this.

PDF Generation / White line appearing in pdfs
Last post by molekingq - October 07, 2024, 01:19:28 PM
Hi sorry I know this topic appeared recently but I couldn't make head or tails of the answer. Basically I have a project that when I export to pdf, when you open the pdf to read it has a small white line on the bottom and in print preview there is a small white line on the right. I'm not sure why as I have image frames on every page that match the dimensions of A4.
Any help would be appreciated.
