The problem is solved.
The Courier Stylus Font was stored in 3 different folders, which I deleted with the help of "ale", someone from https://bugs.scribus.net/ section.
Now it is working fine.
Thank you :)

yes, something like "Scribus 1.6.4 backup".

then scribus will recreate "Scribus 1.6.4" for you.

if you're not happy with the result, you can always delete the newly created folder (if any has been created) and rename the old one back to "Scribus 1.6.4"

(of course, first close scribus...)

Hello everyone,

I'm new to Scribus and trying to create a form-fillable version of a character sheet for a tabletop game, and running into issues with borders. I have set the stroke colour setting for each PDF Text Field to "None", and when I print the file to PDF using Scribus the borders are not present, but when I Save to PDF and open the file in Adobe, each field has an ugly black border around it. Printing to PDF from Adobe also maintains the borders. How can I get rid of these?

Quote from: a.l.e on June 30, 2025, 07:35:38 PMre-installing the same version of scribus is almost never a solution.

it looks like that the scribus gets opened off screen.

have you changed the monitor? is it a laptop and you attach external monitors from time to time?

what you can try, is to let scribus recreate its settings.

you can try to do so by renaming C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Scribus\

Thanks for your response. It is a laptop but I have never attached an external monitor to it.

I tried looking for that pathway but there is no Appdata folder inside my username folder. However, there is inside of Program Files, two folders, one with the name of each version that I have had installed (for example, C:\Program Files\Scribus 1.6.4). Are you suggesting that I rename the Scribus folder to something else?

on the other side, it's likely that the files are on shared drivers...

and depending on the setup, scribus (or qt) has issues with reading those files

Your config file has become corrupted. Exit scribus, navigate to the scribus config directory, rename it. then restart scribus. that should fix the error message. if there were any changes you made in your preferences you will need to make them again.(paths changes, display tweaks.. etc.)

I'm not a developer, but such bug report I would close with "Works for me".

I understand you're unhappy and want to ask for help. Please understand as well, others are using other computers, different setup etc. and don't know what you're using as long as you don't tell them.

So for start could you please share, what operating system do you use, how you've got Scribus installed, what exactly "trying to get to an Image I have saved but can't get to my files" means etc.? So someone else at the other end of the word could try to reproduce the issue or ask for more specific details.
