Title: Problem importing .ai files in Linux
Post by: STEELBAS on October 22, 2012, 04:51:56 PM
Hello,

I have run into a problem with Scribus when importing .ai files. Specifically, these problems only happen on Linux (Arch Linux), as I am perfectly able to import the same .ai file on Windows.

I have tried both opening the .ai file directly, as well as importing it into an existing document. Both, however, spawn the error "The file could not be imported". I have tried looking for a more detailed error, but was unable to. I'll be glad to get one should anyone be able to tell me how to get more verbose error messages.

I found this topic: http://forums.scribus.net/index.php?topic=623.0 (http://forums.scribus.net/index.php?topic=623.0) , which seems to describe the same problem.

Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this error? Many thanks!
