Hi, sorry for resurrecting this post, but, is automatic relinking a feature that has been requested for Scribus? Because relinking image by image in a long document is a lot of work  ???

this means that the image has a low resolution.

you can set the minimal resolution in the document setup (and in the preferences for all future documents)

After inserting an image, a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark appears in its lower right corner. What does this mean and how can I get rid of it? I would appreciate any advice on this issue.

If you go to Document setup and Guides, there is a section for setting the Placement of guides relative to each other and the Content Objects.

Layout Issues / Background shape hides margin ...
Last post by bryder - April 01, 2025, 12:03:24 PM
I'm using Scribus 1.5.8 on Ubuntu 22.04. The document consists of two pages. All guides, including the blue margin guides, are visible by default. On the first page, I placed a shape to serve as a green background. This works as intended, but as soon as the shape is present, most guides disappear—only the baseline grid and the red page margin lines remain visible. The blue margin guides in particular are missing.

If I lower the opacity of the shape under "Transparency," the guides reappear.

Interestingly, when I open an older document from 2021 (created with an earlier version of Scribus) in version 1.5.8, and which also uses a shape as a page background, the guides display correctly.

Is this a bug in the current version of Scribus, or am I missing something in the setup?

Took me a moment to find it as it isnt in the preferences. In the drop down menus, select View/Image Frames and make sure Show Images is checked. This should make all images show when loaded.

Where is the directory of your images? and how many files does it contain? What OS are you using and what are your hardware specs?
