Meeemaw, would it possible to share the two .sla files?

You can send a link in a private message, if you don't want them to be world readable.

i guess that the stroke should just be in pt.

or does anybody want it to be in the document unit?
i've checked libreoffice and a couple of DTP alternatives and all seem to be using pt...

if anybody sees a reason for having it in the document unit, are there other measurements where the unit by pt or the document unit?

and as a short time solution, you can always type the value as "1 pt" and it will be converted into the document's unit.

Thank you for your help, but I only want the unit for Lines to change to pt (points). I do not want the Ruler or anything else to change.

Here is something for you to try, rename your config directory for scribus and start scribus. you may need to readjust some prefs depending if you made some changes. See if this clears the issue.

Hi, I'm new to Scribus. Can someone tell me how to change the unit size for "Lines" (it's in inches) to points?

Hope you get it figured out!

However... I have both fonts installed, and it doesn't ask to substitute, it just DOES it. I hope they figure that out too, because having to reformat all the text in an article, when it shouldn't be necessary, is getting really frustrating.

I have a similar issue too. when reopening a document, scribus  wants to substitute another font, and prompts for what i want to sub. The actual font is in the font path(s) but it seems to ignore this. haven't figured out why yet.

I have Lib Serif installed, as well as Lib Sans. We've both been using Lib Serif in our document for quite a while. I never substitute anything else for Lib Serif. I can open one of the documents and it shows the text in Lib Serif, but when I import it into the larger document it changes to Lib Sans.

It's very frustrating because I have to reformat that article, and I shouldn't have to. All of them are laid out in Scribus.

(and of course I have it installed, or I couldn't use it at all...)
