Hello, I'm a total newbie to Scribus.
---EDIT:---
Scribus-Version 1.4.6
03 Januar 2016
Build ID: C-C-T-F-C1.14.6-64bit
Ghostscript-Version: 9.18
------
I open a PDF file with Scribus and in Scribus the text isn't shown. I can only see the first letter of each line. So I definitively haven't WYSIWYG!
Is this a bug? Or is it intentionally to save processor ressources?
How can I see the whole text and get closer to WYSIWYG?
Kind regards
Peter
Welcome PeterLinux
Could you post a screenshot of what you are seeing and maybe post the pdf file if you do not mind. Also which OS (I am assuming Linux), if so which Distro? I just put a pdf in Scribus 1.4.6 in Linux Mint 18.3 with no issues. Just guessing but it might be a font issue where the fonts are not embedded in the pdf...
Cheers!
mnawij
I use Xubuntu 16.04 (AMD 64bit) Longtime support.
When I view the file with document viewer (Evince) it looks as it should.
Attached is a screenshot of Scribus.
Kind regards
Peter

Scribus is not really intended to edits PDF's (although in newer versions there are some editing possibilities).
