Title: TOC: alignment and dotted lines
Post by: yichuang驿窗 on February 06, 2020, 03:02:16 PM
I am trying to make the table of contents followed by:
https://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Creating_a_Table_of_Contents

There are two questions:

1.
How to make dotted lines between the titles and page numbers?
Everything is ok but the dotted lines between the titles and page numbers, I did not found the "fill" position.

2.
How to align the page numbers vertically?
The page numbers at the end of the line are not aligned vertically, they change as much as the previous content.

Did you notice there is a movie at the bottom om the page showing the process? (I have not watched the movie though, so I am not sure how much it shows.)

I think the answer to both your questions is: You need to set proper tabs (tabulators) for the paragraph style used for the TOC.

I had click the movie link before, but the link jumped to :
http://linux.hanski.info/static/scribus_promotion/movies/toc/TOC_howto.htm

There is nothing on the screen, it's a blank page.

It's a flash movie, if you do not have flash installed it will not work.

My browser asked for permission to run Adobe Flash, and then it took maybe 10-15 seconds before the movie started.

But the movie did not seem to show how to edit the styles (I didn't watch all of it though).

Thank you~

Yes, it is a flash. I can play it with flash player now.

But, the TOC style was not mentioned in the movie.

How to make a TOC style to format the alignment and dotted line?

Or, there will be a TOC style later?(http://forums.scribus.net/index.php/topic,3345.msg15662.html#msg15662)
