Title: Insert multi-row textarea?
Post by: johntveg on February 07, 2012, 01:37:52 AM
Hi!

I just started working with Scribus the other day and I am very pleased.  One question, though.  Is it possible to insert a multi-row textarea, as opposed to a single-row text field?  Thanks!

I can't understand your question. Perhaps if you explain exactly why you do, step by step, to create the "single row text field" I will grasp what you mean.

johntveg, do you mean columns as in news papers?

Or separate text above each other as these two are?

If so, all it needs are two text boxes to hold your text, there is also a way to put them at an angel if that is what you want

Sorry...yes, I'm trying to create a PDF form.  Text field: one-line field, like the Subject line of a comment form, text area: multi-line field, like the body of a comment form.  I'd like to create a text area :)  Is that possible?  Thanks!

Multi-line is a property of the text field (checkbox in the properties).

Right click on the frame->PDF Options->Field properties and the Options tab.
