Can it really be true that I have to select each text-box and do individual searches to find and replace a word? My documents have probably about 200 boxes, not counting the ones that are used as numbering-icons. And if I export the document to a PDF, it comes out as picture-pages, not as searchable text.
Help, please!
there is a patch for a find and replace on the whole document:
https://bugs.scribus.net/view.php?id=14567
if possible (that is: you can compile the host repository: https://github.com/HOST-Oman/scribus) please do so!

...or you can use the
'story editor' to search a whole text chain.

Thx for the answers. I'll look at the patch tomorrow.
I don't use text chains, the boxes are individual. (It's text-based cards for a game).
As far as I can tell from my googling, the PDF-problem is something to do with incompatible fonts, but some of the problem text is in Arial, and I have a hard time believing that that isn't compatible with most functions anywhere.
Hmm, I just noticed that one of the posts I googled on PDFs not coming out as text are commented by you, utnik, so I'm a bit surprised by your surprise...?

you're right – i forgot about this microsoft 'special feature' – sorry!
i never use microsoft standard fonts, but as you use 'arial', this strange inconsistency between licensing and programming could be the source of your problem.
