Title: Contributions
Post by: aparraga on April 27, 2011, 04:41:09 PM
Hello,

I'm performing some customizations on scribus 1.4 (e.g. I have added the ability to export to PDF from the command line).
I would like to donate my contributions.

So, how can I do that?

Thank you
Antonio

It is probably a good idea to ask this on scribus mailing list since devs are there regularly which cannot be said for the forum.

Hi,
the ability to export to PDF from the command line is exactly what we are looking for :)
Is this already available in a released version?
And is this function available under Windows?
The command line options from http://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Help:Manual_Commandline (http://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Help:Manual_Commandline) don't work for me on Winwows - I read that they are for Linux/UNIX, so maybe there are no command line features available for Windows at all?
Thanks,
Jan

it's not available yet, no.

it will also work on windows.

if somebody wants to contribute i can send the set of patches (if it's not already in the bug tracker)

and there is an interesting solution referenced by stephan in the mailing list (by using a "virtual" X11 server on linux...

lot of ways to do it... none of them are ready, yet.
