Title: changing print orientation??
Post by: mscantbwrong on October 03, 2012, 09:24:52 PM
okay... so i have designed a 3 panel roll fold brochure. now trying to print a preview and it's printing in the wrong orientation.

when i created the file, i specified landscape orientation because that's how i was designing the brochure, wanting dimensions of  8x3.25". But it's printing to give me a brochure of 2.67x11.5 with the text literally chopped off to the left and right edges of the paper.

how do i fix this, please?

hope this makes sense! haha

hi

as said in irc: export to PDF (file > export) and print it with acrobat reader. this is the safe way.

ah, and in you pdf reader remove the option to resize the printer margins.

good luck

I'd say that this is a printer (driver) issue rather than a Scribus issue. If I understand you right you want to print a landscape document on a printer where the paper is portrait oriented. Then a rotation is needed. Adobe Reader will rotate automatically.
