hello all, great that this forum exists. I have an odd problem: i am trying to export a scribus page as an image (png) in a given resolution and size, but cannot get it to work. Whenever i increase the resolution, the size also increases. Is this correct? There must be a way to do this, right?
if not you can always use GIMP to size it and keep the DPI, if your doing jpeg that maybe the issue if I recall it always displays at 72 dpi (or did at one tim)
hi rik
when you increase the resolution in ppi, the size will stay (at 100% by default) – but the image size in px (in other words the real resolution of the exported image) will increase. that's what a higher resolution setting is used for!

hi rik
if you have higher expectations, i think you'd better export to pdf and then convert the pdf to an image.
with a conversion tool or a bitmap editing program.
you can even create a python script in scribus that does it for you.
