I am using Scribus 1.4.6 in Linux Mint 19.3 and I have some experience with desktop publishing in Windows (Ventura Publisher).
I have 20 text chapters (.odt) that are a revision of a 513-page book.
I need to setup up a Scribus document with the correct styles, page size, margins, bleeds, etc.
I find that everytime I think I have it done, because I insert front matter and one chapter, all of a sudden there's an essential piece missing that I can't get past.
I have started from scratch several times.
I have looked at YouTube and other tutorials. Everybody forgets some practical detail that messes me up.
Is there, anywhere, a protocol that sets a recommended order of setup stages up to the point of inserting text (And, maybe, beyond)?
If there isn't this is a still experimental project for software that needs a lot of work before it can be used for real world projects.
