Good morning.
I am using Scribus 1.5.5. In theory, this version allows the system to automatically create PDF bookmarks when the file is saved as a PDF, but I can't get this feature to function.
I can create bookmarks that work fine within the .sla document, but they do not export when I save the document as a PDF. I have every option I can see check in order to have the bookmarks created in the pDF, but it just doesn't happen. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you!
So according to HowToSCRIBUS-digital.pdf, p. 4. [broken link]
Bookmarks are ordered by creation date, not appearance in a document.
1. Ensure that each bookmark that you want to appear in the PDF output document has Is PDF Bookmark checked. Do this by right-clicking the textbox, then select PDF Options, then place a checkmark by Is PDF Bookmark .
2. Next, open the Bookmarks window, then order the bookmarks there by drag and dropping with your mouse.
3. Then create the PDF. Verify the order of the bookmarks.
I went back and checked one of my old newsletter and to my horror found the same problem. I implemented the solution above and it worked.
