Title: missing trimbox
Post by: wodga on July 30, 2013, 02:49:22 PM
I tried to send a scribus-generated pdf document to a online printing company. As I had some problems with the result, they said I made the pdf in untrimmed format without trimbox.

The final format is 205x270 and the expected cut is 3 mm each side. What's wrong with my settings (see attached file settings.jpg)

Hallo Wodga (a nice camouflage for Vodka)  :P

I think you should have used in the «Breite:» 211mm and in «Höhe:» 276mm. This is the actual needed size for the printers.

Tschau und viel Glück damit.

you set the final size of your document and scribus will add the bleeds. but for this, you should check 'use document bleeds' under 'save as pdf' → 'pre-press' → 'bleed settings' or set the bleeds manually. otherwise scribus will ignore your predefined bleeds (useful for the export of a web file from the same .sla...)
