There are lots of fonts in my laptop that I would like to make accessible to Scribus (1.5.8 - Windows10). If I follow File>Preferences>Fonts>Additional Paths> Add, the fonts folder (C:\windows\fonts) cannot be found; it is not visible as one of the sub folders in c:\windows. If I write to select C:\windows\fonts I get the message "The folder name is not valid". What am I missing, or doing wrong?
Thanks for the help.

As far as I know you should not need to add the system fonts folder to Scribus, the reason Scribus is not picking up the fonts is probably that Scribus does a quality check of the fonts and does not load fonts that have issues.
I think starting Scribus from the command line shows how it checks the fonts and what fonts it accepts.
I have a fonts directory in my home directory, that keep fonts i want to use for dtp there. That way i dont have issues using fonts installed system wide. You just need a few installed system wide.
