Title: Master Page . . . Child?
Post by: solaero on August 14, 2016, 09:16:34 PM
Maybe a silly question, but . . .

Is it possible to create children of a master page so that when the parent is updated, the pertinent parts of the child are updated also?

Or am I just doing this wrong?

Basically, I have a very simple master page with some head/foot matter, then I have an identical master page except it contains some further formatting to reflect a specific section of my newsletter. I'd like for that second master page to be a child of the first.

children bring lot of overhead... :-)

try to use the guides and the scrapbook... or if you're using 1.5 you can also use "updateable" patterns...

I suspected as much when I asked. I'll take that as confirmation.
