hi flaxx

some of the .svg import is still buggy – and that's bad.
but when you clean your file a bit, it imports correct. (i did it for you and you can download it in the next couple of days here...)

Here you are: https://a360588.neptun.1blu.de/data/public/72a795.php (link will expire).

The only solution at the moment is putting in a picture frame as you could see in my first posting. It's not the best way regarding scalability.

Only printed on paper.

Sure. But the print company wants a PDF file.

All very simple. No pictures.

The question is not whether Scribus or not. The question is HOW?.

I need help to start the whole thing.

Today I installed Texlive. Looks like the same size of monster.

Raster and Vector Graphics / Still errors when Importing SV...

Hi there,

Even if Scribus 1.6.5 became much better regarding the handling of SVG-graphics compared to the past, it still has surprising lacks. Im NOT talking about embedded text (that would be wishful for both, SVG and PDF). It obviously has problems with paths having thick border lines. Enclosed is a screenshot. Yes, it can be circumvented, but the this sometimes needs measures regarding the resolution.

Im using Inkscape, and there is no difference whether the graphics are exported by using its own format or plain SVG.

no images
but some longer quotes
the text is about finished, waits for some orthographic checks

All I need now is the layout.
