Title: Script to add a image (by the pdf user) to a specific frame in a form
Post by: tiara.macedo on January 31, 2017, 07:09:07 PM
Hello, I'm a completely beginner, forgive my complete absence of knowledge in this area. My case I think maybe is sooo simple, but I really don't know: I couldn't find a way, during the creation of a button in a form using scribbus, for allowing that the user add an image to a specific frame in the PDF form. I suppose that the option for that is to create a button with the action 'script' (javascritpt option). But I simply don't know anything about computer languages and script texts. Please help me. Thank you very much !

since you're defining yourself as a complete beginner, i have to ask you a question: why do you want to create a pdf form?

there are better ways (html forms builders?) for collecting information...

Because this is the software usually used at my workplace. The form is a form by definition, almost entirely made with text boxes. There is only one box that I need for allowing that the user add an image. I am just asking if somebody can help me with the script to add the image. I don't know anything about html options. What happened was - I asked for help from a scribus user (until that, I did'nt know he was a scribus user), and he ofered me this option. I don't know other option and the form that I have created with his help is already done, the only thing that is missing is the script for adding the image. He also couldn't find this specific script. I would apreciate if you could help me with that. Thank you

Hello,
Thank you Nermander, but your first google hit unfortunately didn't work. The image didn't open in the frame. By the way the script doesn't support .jpg or .png, only .pdf. But it was useful to know that the button has to have the same size of the image that you want to insert. I'll search the script on google, folks. Thank you at all.
